RML’s ‘Car Zero’ Short Wheelbase will be a major attraction at this week’s Concours of Elegance, held at Hampton Court Palace from Friday to Sunday (Sept 2-4). Fresh from its recent trip to California for Monterey Car Week, the Short Wheelbase will be positioned in Hampton Court’s Fountain Gardens as part of CofE’s ‘The Year in Motion’ display, curated to showcase ‘The finest and most exciting cars launched in the past year.’ Car Zero will join other high-end exotica, alongside the main concours group comprising 75 rare and valuable cars.

‘Concours of Elegance is a perfect fit for the Short Wheelbase,’ said Michael Mallock, RML’s CEO. ‘The event is billed as a celebration of luxury – as well as high-end motor cars – which is very much where we’re positioning the SWB. Our customers are already likely to own original cars from the classic age of motoring in the ‘50s and ‘60s, which they may not feel comfortable driving any distance in due to their lack of practicality and – in many cases – sky-high values. The SWB offers them the 21st-century convenience they’re used to with a modern car, combined with the involving and atmospheric driving experience of a classic GT, fine-tuned for today’s more demanding drivers.’
